Jonathan earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif. He practiced in Tennessee for over 18 years following his graduation in 2006 and recently decided to return to his Utah roots.

Jonathan has a wealth of litigation experience and loves to be inside the courtroom. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of practice areas, including personal injury, toxic tort, class actions, civil rights, commercial litigation, HOA disputes, family law, landlord-tenant, and workers’ compensation.  He has litigated cases from pre-litigation investigations through bench and jury trials. He has handled hundreds of appeals, primarily on behalf of the State of Tennessee while he worked with the Tennessee Attorney General, and also on behalf of private clients in civil matters.  His diverse litigation experience helps him analyze cases from multiple angles in the minutiae as well as from a global perspective.

Jonathan’s greatest love is for his beautiful wife and five amazing children. He speaks Spanish and plays piano, organ, violin, and harmonica (though he is still trying to master the blues shake).
